HCB Health, a health care advertising agency, is on a winning streak with five new clients this year and several industry awards including a prestigious TV campaign crystal award.
The 40-person agency added Audiotoniq Hearing Aids, California Pacific Medical Center, Cochlear Americas, Harden Healthcare and Hollister Wound Care. The agency is also in the finals for two other accounts in the medical device and consumer health care products sector, according to President and CEO Kerry Hilton. He said being niche have given the firm an advantage.
“As narrow as health care sounds, it really is very broad,” Hilton said. “It requires a special knowledge of understanding how the selling system works. For example, the FDA has stringent regulations on how pharmaceutical and medical device marketing messages can be used. A generalist agency doesn’t understand these rules."
The agency picked up a MANNY award for Best Medical Device campaign in 2010, and a Crystal Award for the Best 30-second Television campaign.
