A local solider who served our country more than 50 years ago was honored with a custom pin for his service.
Herbert "Herbie" Stolt served the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Morning Star Village held a ceremony this afternoon for the War Veteran. A former Vietnam Vet presented him with a special red, white and blue lapel pin, which commemorates his years of service.
Organizers of the event says it's important to say thank you to our vets everyday not just on national holidays.
